Green is the new black
This holiday season, I'm mixing and matching colors, as well as prints! I love styling hues of deep forest green during this time of year - it brings to mind the tall oaks and pines dusted with snow I drive by in the tranquil backroads of Bryn Mawr. It reminds me of all the things I love about winter - the sound and smell of wood crackling in a fireplace; Frost's "Passing by woods on a snowy evening"; peeling back the layers of a warm, roasted chestnut; devouring said chestnut; frosted windowpanes; watching snow fall. In this cozy outfit, I've paired suede over-the-knee boots with a long sleeve top by Greek designer Celestino. And, adding a print (I've gone with leopard for the scarf and tortoiseshell for the sunnies!), lends a little fun to the mix. It also breaks up the monotony of solid colors. You can also play around with your look by adding a pop of color to the lips (I've opted for a festive red) and a touch of glam to the accessories. In my book - bigger is always better - and these stunning rhinestoned chandelier earrings do the trick! With only two weeks left until Xmas, what are you stepping out in?
