Challenge your Style
People will stare. Make it worth their while. -Harry Winston More
IS more. If fashion is a true function of expression, then why are you playing it safe? Plan a morning (or afternoon, or evening) to take a good hard look at your closet. Set aside the blazers, the trouser pants, the capris and the cardi's - if you work the 9-5 like me, those piece ARE your everyday.
It's time to give them a rest. Having fun with your look can be a challenge (though not impossible!) in the workplace -where 'conservative' is pretty much synonymous with 'professional'. (More on this in a later post!) That's why I look to my 'off days' as an opportunity to put the true me out into the world -
to experiment with style and see where it takes me. I love the layered look below because it is me - from the height of my heel and my oversized sunnies, to the layers of fur and leopard. Play around with the pieces in your closet - be bold with your choice of patterns, textures and prints!
